Return unused items within 14 days of delivery. Email us first; returns go to our warehouse in China and the return postage is at your cost. Damaged, faulty or wrong items are replaced or refunded at our cost.

The Emberwood is a hand crank radio and emergency radio in one rugged box, with DAB, DAB+ and FM reception, a flashlight, an SOS alarm and a 10,000 mAh power bank. Keep it at home for power cuts and storms, in the car, or in a go-bag for camping and hiking. When the outlets go dark, charge it from the sun or turn the crank.
Solar and hand crank charging
- Solar panel on top tops up the battery in daylight, so the radio keeps going on a windowsill, a camp table or a backpack lid.
- Fold-out hand crank turns your own effort into power when there is no sun and no outlet.
- 5 V USB charging fills the battery from a wall adapter, laptop or car USB port, so it is full before you store it.
Clear radio, easy to read
- DAB, DAB+ and FM digital stations come in clean and hiss-free where they are broadcast, with FM for local news everywhere else.
- Color screen shows the station, the time and your battery level, so you never guess how much power is left.
- Auto scan and favorites find your stations in one press and keep the ones you rely on close.
Light and signal in one
- Three white LEDs on the end of the radio light a path, a tent or a dark hallway without a separate flashlight.
- Red light gives a softer glow that is easier on night vision around camp.
- SOS alarm sounds an alarm signal to help draw attention to where you are.

Before you buy
Does a hand crank radio work without batteries?
You never need disposable batteries. The Emberwood has a built-in 10,000 mAh rechargeable battery, and the hand crank, the solar panel and USB all charge it. Cranking and sunlight give a slow top-up; USB is the fastest way to fill it.
Will the DAB+ stations work where I live?
DAB and DAB+ are broadcast across the UK, much of Europe and Australia. The US does not use DAB, so there you will listen on FM. FM works anywhere FM stations broadcast.
Can this emergency radio charge my phone?
Yes. The 10,000 mAh battery works as a power bank for phones and other small USB devices. Use your phone's own charging cable.
How fast does the solar panel charge it?
Solar charging is slow and depends on how strong the sunlight is. Use it to keep the radio going during the day, not to fill an empty battery quickly.
How do I keep it ready for a power outage?
Charge it fully over USB, store it somewhere dry with the antenna pushed in, and check and top up the battery every few months.
How long does delivery take?
We ship from Yiwu, China within 1–2 business days. Delivery takes 5–10 business days after that, so 6–12 business days in total. Shipping is free. US import duties, if any, are not included. Shipping policy
